Keith Bear brings more than 35 years of capital markets, blockchain networks, systems integration and delivery experience to KoreConX
New York, NY (June 19, 2018) – KoreConX, the first all-in-one business platform for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), announces Keith Bear as a member of its board of advisors. Keith is responsible globally for the strategy and development of IBM’s business in financial markets and for the past three years has led or contributed to most of IBM’s blockchain engagements in the Financial Markets industry—working extensively with fintechs.
“I am delighted to have been invited by KoreConX to join their distinguished board of advisors and look forward to advising them on their mission to transform the way that private companies can better manage their financial position through blockchain technology. I am particularly pleased to be working with KoreConX on their planned use of Hyperledger Fabric,” said Keith Bear, vice president, Financial Markets, IBM.
Keith works extensively with global clients on their major transformation programs, typically on the cutting edge of shaping IBM’s solutions. He has worked with financial markets infrastructure firms such as CLS, LSEG and DTCC, trade finance organizations such as the We.Trade bank consortium, and leading global banks on deployment of Blockchain technologies. In addition to KoreConX, Keith is a lead mentor for three of the 2018 cohort in the Barclay’s Techstars Fintech accelerator.
“Our team at KoreConX is excited to have Keith as part of our advisory board. Having provided leadership for the many global installations on Hyperledger Fabric in the financial services sector, his insights will be very valuable not only for us at KoreConX but also for the private capital markets globally,” said Oscar Jofre, co-founder and CEO of KoreConX.
Keith holds a First Class Degree in Physics from Corpus Christi College, Oxford, an MSc in Particle Physics from University of London, and completed an IBM Master in Business Management program at London School of Economics. He is a member of IBM’s Industry Academy and a Board Director for the Enterprise Data Management Council.
